Praxis is the church multiplication arm of the Western Canadian District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance(CMA).
It is our dream to plant the gospel via dozens of new churches in Alberta and beyond that would be as diverse in expression as our culture is as well. We believe that Praxis plays a small but important role in bringing like minded people together to plant the gospel in society. So welcome to this space. We hope it will help lead to meaningful action in our communities. Use it to journey on this mission together, to connect with others, to find encouragement, to have your ideas sharpened, to find inspiration, to collaborate. It is our privilege to partner with you and find ways to plant the gospel in society together.

Our Manifesto
We recognize that for new churches to be planted in new places in our society the gospel must first be planted in meaningful, contextually appropriate ways. The gospel remains unchanged yet the expression of the church needs to be as diverse as there are cultures and tribes in our world. The document, Our Manifesto, attempts to address some of the core elements needed without prescribing the expression. In short, we encourage you to pray boldly, dream expectantly, partner where beneficial to the Kingdom and go forward with confidence. If you share these same roots as expressed in Our Manifesto then lets journey together!
Sea to Sea
The CMA has banded together to create what is known as the Sea to Sea initiative that has set a goal of planting 76 churches nationally by 2012. Each CMA church in Canada is encouraged to participate in a new church venture at least once every five years. Although Praxis is part of the CMA tribe we desire to be in relationship and join in mission with like minded folks from other tribes wherever the cause of Christ would benefit.
